Prithvi-II missile was successfully launched at 0650 hrs from launch complex III at Chandipur on 18th June, 2010. The entire operations for the launch were carried out by Armed forces. It was a text book launch and met all the mission objectives. The terminal phase of flight and the events were monitored by Down range ships located near the impact point. All the operations for the mission were reviewed by Dr VK Saraswat, Scientific Advisor to Raksha Mantri, DG & Secretary DRDO. Programme Director Mr VLN Rao, Project Directors Mr Adalat Ali & Mr DS Reddy and Maj Gen Phillip Compose were present during the mission. It is the fourth successful PRITHVI-II flight within a period of 8 months.
